  • Do I have to be in good shape before I start? Is this work phisically demanding?
    No, Locksmithing isnt that demanding. You must be able to lift about 50 lbs and walk a bit.
  • I am 45 years old, am I too old to start a new career as a locksmith?"
    No, you are not too old. We regularly have students start in their 50's and even older.
  • What is the difference between Basic locksmithing and automotive locksmithing?
    Automotive has become highly specialized. While we do reccomend attending the basic course first, we have on a few occasions trained locksmiths as Automotive only locksmiths. In some states however you MUST have a valid locksmith license with an automotive endorcement.
  • I am very busy with my work schedule, how much time do I need to devote to kenpo classes?"
    The Basic course is 2 weeks online and 2 weeks in the field shadowing a locksmith. The shadowing process is where most courses fail, this hands on time WILL help hone your skills.
  • How long does it take to become a locksmith?
    Jayson has grown up in the family business, and been locksmithing full time since the late 90's and he will gladly tell you he learns something EVERY DAY. Our shadowing program will put you miles ahead of those attending many of the other courses. We also have a tech support plan that can help as you go.
  • What sort of things should I consider when choosing a school?
    What school meets your monetary and time constraints. We feel confident that we have what it takes to set you up for success, but we know we may not be the right fit for everyone.
